Get to Know Us

Founded in October 1939, the Horological Association of Virginia (HAV) has fostered a spirit of collaboration among watchmakers across the state and beyond. Over the years, HAV’s reach has extended to encompass not only watchmakers but also clockmakers, bench jewelers, retail jewelers, and others involved in this intricate micro-precision industry. HAV’s commitment to its members extends to providing comprehensive education on cutting-edge techniques, the latest technological advancements, and upholding fair trade practices.

HAV’s leadership is a two-tiered structure. The Executive Committee, composed of five elected officers and the immediate past president, provides day-to-day leadership. The Board of Directors, which includes the Executive Committee and representatives from each Chartered Guild and the At-Large Members, establishes policy and oversees the organization’s strategic direction.
